STEM Teachers/Coaches Kara Benson and Molly Haas organize Science and Engineering Fairs
Boone Meadow (BME) and Eagle Elementary (EE) Schools recently held Science and Engineering Fairs. Students in all grade levels were encouraged to participate by submitting a science or engineering project. Students used imagination and creativity to present reports on ideas and activities about which they are passionate. These young scientists and engineers will change the world.

"Boone Meadow's Science and Engineering Fair was open to all building grade levels K-4 and every student had an opportunity to participate. Projects were student-designed, and they worked with families at home," said BME STEM Teacher/Coach Kara Benson.
"It was fun to see the students take ownership of their learning and explore their own inquiry questions, their own passions, and see that they can be scientists at a young age."

"This year we had some amazing projects that provided students not only the opportunity to learn the content, but to practice the skills needed to work in groups, be problem solvers, and present information in a clear way," said Eagle Elementary STEM Teacher/Coach Molly Haas.
"It also gives students an opportunity to investigate something of personal interest. Students were proud and excited to share all that they learned and accomplished."
ZCS Superintendent Scott Robison said seeing the creative energy that educators pour into student learning by offering a unique set of experiences at the youngest of ages is what keeps education as a whole moving forward.
"We are fortunate to have educators like these teachers who bring passion and creativity into the classroom," said Dr. Robison.
A special thank you to BME and Eagle STEM Teachers/Coaches Molly Haas and Kara Benson for their thoughtful organization of the Science and Engineering Fairs.
