Honoring Veterans
across ZCS
A week of gratitude and remembrance in all nine school buildings.
This week, every ZCS school came together to honor the veterans in our community through heartfelt programs, student performances, and meaningful moments of reflection. From musical tributes to student-led recognitions, each building found its own way to say “thank you” while helping students understand the importance of service and sacrifice.
We are grateful to the veterans who joined us, to the families who shared these moments, and to the staff and students whose efforts made every ceremony special. Thank you for helping us uphold this tradition of gratitude across all nine schools.

Inside the
Whale
Third graders dive into hands-on learning
ZCS third graders took their study of ocean life to a whole new level by stepping inside a life-size inflatable whale. The Whalemobile visited all six elementary schools, turning curiosity into excitement and bringing key Wit and Wisdom curriculum lessons to life. Don’t miss the video and full feature story capturing this unforgettable experience.
