Student Production of Newsies Comes to Life at Zionsville West Middle School

Students brought energy, music, and storytelling to the stage to kick off the ZCS spring musical season.

Zionsville West Middle School's production started the performance season. Based on the inspiring story of young newspaper sellers who band together to fight for fairness, Newsies is known for its high-energy choreography, powerful songs, and message about courage and standing up for what is right. ZWMS students bought the beloved musical to life, building not only their performance skills but also teamwork, confidence, and creativity along the way.

From the stage to behind the scenes, students and staff worked together to create a production that showcased the talent and dedication of the ZWMS performing arts community. As the first of several spring musicals across the district, Newsies marked the beginning of a season filled with student creativity.

A Night Around the World
at Boone Meadow Elementary School

Boone Meadow Elementary School was filled with color, music, and the flavors of cultures from around the world during its annual International Night.

The event brought students and families together to celebrate many cultures represented within the school community. Families hosted booths and displays highlighting countries and traditions through food, music, clothing, and artifacts, giving students the opportunity to learn about cultures both familiar and new.

As students traveled from table to table, they experienced a global journey right inside their school, asking questions, sampling foods, and discovering traditions from around the world. The evening created opportunities for connection, curiosity, and conversation.

International Night is a reminder of the rich diversity within the Boone Meadow Elementary School community and the power of our schools to bring people together to learn from one another.

Through a fast-paced, game show-style program, students worked together to answer questions, make environmentally friendly choices, and learn how their everyday actions can help protect the planet.

With audience participation, storytelling, and plenty of energy, the experience brought science concepts to life while empowering students with practical ways to care for the environment.
