A Celebration of Culture
at Trailside Elementary School
Trailside students celebrated the rich stories and backgrounds that make our community stronger.
Trailside Elementary School hosted an evening of cultural sharing as students and families filled the school with displays and stories representing their backgrounds. From traditional foods and clothing to meaningful traditions, the event highlighted the richness that strengthens our ZCS community.

Campfire Cookout
A fun, school-day campfire experience tied to their wellness unit.
Students at Eagle Elementary enjoyed a campfire cookout this week as part of their wellness unit. The experience gave students a chance to learn outdoors, share simple treats, and enjoy time together.

ZCHS Student Journalists
Earn National Honors
Students brought home top national awards across writing, photography, design, and yearbook categories.

Twelve ZCHS student journalists earned top individual honors during the Journalism Education Association National Student Media Contest as part of the Fall National High School Journalism Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. In all, 1,668 students from over 150 schools competed in photo, broadcast, graphic design, literary magazine, design and writing contests, with 600 students earning superior, excellent, and honorable mention awards.

Robotics Shines
Across ZCS
Students from elementary through high school came together for a day of creativity, teamwork, and innovation at ZCHS.
Students from every level of ZCS filled Zionsville Community High School for a districtwide robotics competition that highlighted problem-solving, collaboration, and impressive engineering skills. From young builders to seasoned competitors, the energy and creativity on display showed just how strong the robotics pipeline is in our schools.

Engineering the Future
at Zionsville Middle School
Sixth graders teamed up with Purdue’s Women in Engineering to explore real-world design challenges.
Sixth grade students took a hands-on dive into engineering pathways this week as they partnered with Purdue’s Women in Engineering. After learning about aeronautical design, students examined past NASA glove models, identified challenges, and then created and tested their own improved glove designs for use on Mars. It was an exciting opportunity for students to think critically, problem-solve, and experience engineering in action.
