This week’s Friday Five is packed with incredible moments from across Zionsville Community Schools. Spring in ZCS is filled with celebrations, milestones, performances, recognitions, and unforgettable experiences, and this edition captures just a small glimpse of the continuing energy and excitement happening throughout our schools this time of the school year.
These are only five of many wonderful stories unfolding across our district right now. There is so much happening that we can't fit it all into one edition, so watch for a special June recap highlighting even more of the memorable moments that made May in ZCS so special.

Unified Champions K-8 Highlights
Unified Champions students from across ZCS came together for a day centered on connection, movement, and belonging
The The Zionsville Middle School track was filled with smiles, laughter, encouragement, and celebration as students from across Zionsville Community Schools gathered there for the annual K-8 Unified Champions Day.
Throughout the day, the experience reflected the spirit of inclusion and belonging that continues to grow across ZCS.

Connections across
Generations
Senior VIP Readers attended a celebration breakfast for the time, encouragement, and relationships they shared with ZCS students throughout the school year
One of the most beautiful parts of the ZCS Senior VIP program is the connection created between generations.
Zionsville Community Schools recently hosted a breakfast reception honoring Senior VIP Readers, community volunteers who spent time reading with students in elementary classrooms throughout the school year. The relationships formed during these visits serve as a powerful reminder of the impact community involvement can have on students and schools.
During the morning, district leaders also shared updates and insights from across their departments, offering volunteers a closer look at the many ways ZCS supports students and families each day.
ZCS is grateful for the many volunteers who continue to invest their time, encouragement, and care into students across the district. Their presence helps strengthen the sense of community that makes #zcsnation special.

Celebrating
Future Leaders
Zionsville Community High School student interns were recently celebrated during a reception hosted by STAR Bank.
The event provided an opportunity to honor students for the time and dedication they invested while gaining authentic experience working alongside professionals in the financial industry. Through partnerships like these, students are able to explore career interests, build confidence, and develop skills that extend beyond the classroom.
ZCS is grateful for our partnership with STAR Bank that continues creating opportunities for students to learn through work experiences and professional connections.
Congratulations to those students who completed internships this semester.
