Rolling into
Spring Break

Eagle Elementary students bring a classic pastime back to life

Eagle Elementary students laced up their skates and rolled into a unit that brought a classic activity back into motion. Through roller skating, students built balance, coordination, and confidence while experiencing a pastime that has been bringing people together for generations. It was the perfect way to move into spring...on wheels, with smiles, and a little nod to old-school fun.

The Redcoats are Coming
to the Reading Battlefield

Union Elementary fourth graders build stamina and strategy through Battle of the Books

Fourth graders at Union Elementary School have been exploring the importance of understanding multiple perspectives through their Wit and Wisdom module, The Redcoats Are Coming! After studying both sides of the American Revolution, students took their learning to the “reading battlefield” with Battle of the Books.

The goal: build reading stamina, fluency, independence, and comprehension while exploring new genres. Students are encouraged to read as much as they can, with perseverance leading the way. In this battle, the only limit is themselves. Read on...the Redcoats are coming!

A Sound
of Belonging

United Sound plays at Zionsville Disability Awareness Festival

At the Zionsville Disability Awareness Festival, United Sound students demonstrated how music can create connection and community. By bringing students together to learn and perform side by side, the program builds confidence, friendships, and a true sense of belonging. It is a powerful reminder that in ZCS, everyone has a place!

Zionsville Middle School students earn top honors at regional science fair

Three Zionsville Middle School (ZMS) students recently represented their school at the Central Indiana Regional Science Fair, presenting original research alongside top students from across the region.

Arthur Fodstad (Grade 5) and Carter Alves (Grade 6) each earned 2nd place in their respective divisions, advancing to the Indiana State Science Fair on March 28. Fellow student Jonah Giesting (Grade 6) also showcased his work, contributing to a strong showing for ZMS.

Their achievements reflect the scientific thinking happening every day in our classrooms.

Big Shows
Little Stars

Elementary students shine in spring musical season

It is showtime across ZCS schools. Students are stepping into the spotlight and bringing beloved stories to life, from 101 Dalmatians at Eagle Elementary School to Shrek at Trailside Elementary School and The Lion King at Pleasant View Elementary School.

These productions showcase more than performance. They highlight confidence and the joy of being part of something bigger than yourself.
