College GO! Week 2025

College Go! Week at ZCHS

Zionsville Community High School (ZCHS) students celebrated College Go! Week with smiles, cookies, and plenty of future plans. During lunch, seniors grabbed a white board, wrote down the colleges where they’ve applied, and posed for a photo to capture the moment.

It was a fun way to celebrate next steps while building momentum for the journey beyond ZCHS.

About College GO! Week
College GO! Week is a statewide initiative in Indiana designed to help students of all ages explore their options for education after high school. From elementary activities that spark early career conversations to high school events that focus on applications, admissions, and financial aid, the week encourages students to think ahead, set goals, and take steps toward their future. At the high school level, seniors are especially encouraged to apply to Indiana colleges and universities during this week, with many institutions waiving application fees to support access and opportunity.

Union Elementary 4th Graders
Explore the Heart of Learning

STEM professionals connect classroom study of the heart to real-world careers.

Union Elementary School 4th graders have been diving into Wit & Wisdom with a focus on the heart, exploring both its literal function as an organ and its figurative meaning. To enrich their learning, medical professionals from the Union community visited the STEM classroom this week for a teacher-led heart dissection. Students heard from an ER doctor, pharmacist, physician assistant, anesthesiologist assistant, and nurses, who explained the structures of the heart and connected classroom knowledge to real-world applications. These experts showed how an understanding of the human body is essential in their STEM careers, offering both inspiration and practical insight into the world of medicine.

Celebrating Tri-M
Music Honor Society at ZMS

Middle school musicians lead with talent, service, and responsibility.

Tri-M is the Music Honor Society for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students involved in choir, band, and orchestra at Zionsville Middle School (ZMS). Students earn membership by auditioning on their instrument or with their voice and maintaining strong academic standing.

Tri-M members are recognized not only for their musical ability but also for character, leadership, and commitment to service. They set a positive example, support their peers, and demonstrate that honor carries responsibility. Throughout the year, Tri-M students contribute through service projects in both their school and the wider community, showcasing the power of music and leadership working hand in hand.
