Share Vision of Unity Through Art

Seventh graders create inspiring entries for annual Peace Poster Contest

Each year, Zionsville West Middle School seventh graders participate in the Peace Poster Contest sponsored by the Zionsville Lions Club. The global contest invites students to design an 18”x24” poster inspired by the annual theme. This year’s theme is “Together as One.”

Over the course of three weeks, ZWMS students worked diligently to express their ideas of peace using only images, no words. From more than 149 submissions, the art department selected 16 outstanding posters to represent the school’s top entries. From the top 16 it was then put to a school wide vote where students and teachers voted on their picks for the top four posters.

1st place – Cathy Fu
2nd place- Andre Meyer
3rd place – Elise Parmer
4th place – Kaia Ferris

Thank you to all students who participated!

at Stonegate

Kindergarten students explore the five senses with a hands-on applesauce activity

Mrs. Rent’s kindergarten class at Stonegate Elementary recently wrapped up their Five Senses unit with an exciting apple investigation. Students used their sense to observe, touch, smell, and taste a variety of apples before putting their learning into practice by making homemade applesauce. The delicious smell filled the classroom as students eagerly sampled their creation, a perfect way to bring science, curiosity, and community together in one tasty lesson.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 8th at 6 p.m. at the Golf Club of Indiana for ZEF Bash 2025.
