Elementary School Jog-A-Thon 2025
Racing into the Annual Elementary School Jog-A-Thon
Elementary campuses were full of energy and Eagle spirit as students participated in this year’s Jog-A-Thon fundraiser. Families cheered as students ran laps, high-fived friends, and celebrated teamwork. Proceeds from this long-standing annual tradition directly support enrichment opportunities and resources for students across our schools.
We are grateful to our parents, volunteers, donors, and PTOs for their dedication and hard work in making Jog-A-Thon both successful and fun for our elementary students.

ZWMS First Notes

Middle School Orchestra Students Take the Stage
Zionsville West Middle School sixth- and seventh- grade orchestras took the stage for their first concert of the year. Students showcased their growing skills and teamwork, filling the auditorium with music and marking a strong start to the performance season.

Stories that
Connect
High School Speech Students Inspire Trailside Elementary School Second Graders
ZCHS speech students visited Trailside Elementary School to practice their communication skills by reading stories with second graders. The visit not only helped high schoolers sharpen their public speaking skills, but also gave younger students a chance to enjoy engaging read aloud stories while connecting with older peers. It was a win-win experience that showcased learning across grade hand in hand.

Charting Futures
ZCHS College and Career Fair
JA Career Ignite takes Juniors and Seniors on a tour of College and Career Possibilities
Zionsville Community High School recently hosted its annual College and Career Fair, an event that brought together college and university representatives, industry professionals, and students. Attendees had the opportunity to explore pathways, discover career options, and engage in conversation to help clarify their goals for life after high school. The fair was a powerful reminder that every student has a unique path and a world of possibility ahead.

Always an Eagle
A Family Legacy
Two Sisters Reflect on Four Generations of ZCS Pride
A conversation with sisters and ZCHS alumni Allison Wharry and Martha Farley
From classrooms in the 1940s to today, the Wharry family story is deeply rooted in Zionsville Community Schools. Sisters Martha Farley and Allison Wharry share memories of tradition, teachers, and community that shaped their lives. This digital feature includes a video interview that brings their reflections to life and highlights what it means to be “Always an Eagle.”
ZCS will host its next parent webinar on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. The session, “Suicide Prevention: What Parents Need to Know,” will be facilitated by ParentGuidance.org. All participation is anonymous, and the webinar is free for parents, guardians, community members, and youth advocates. A QR code for registration is included in this newsletter. If you are unable to join live, a recording will be shared on the ZCS website following the webinar.
Last month, ZCS partnered with the Central Indiana Educational Services Center and the Cook Center for Human Connection to host a webinar on “Substance Abuse and Vaping.” That recording, found here, will remain available on the ZCS website for one year.
