Construction update and school start information top agenda this month
The July meeting of the ZCS Board of School Trustees featured a summer construction update and provided information about the upcoming school year, which is just four weeks away.

START OF SCHOOL 2024-2025
Dr. Rebecca Coffman, ZCS Superintendent of Schools, shared that the school start guide is available and provided an update highlighting key dates to remember for the upcoming school year.

Lunch Prices Approved for Upcoming School Year
- Breakfast: $1.40
- Elementary lunch: $2.65
- Secondary lunch: $2.85
1028 Hearing Advertisement
The Board authorized the advertisement of a 1028 hearing as the next step in addressing facilities updates and future needs.
Classroom Equipment Purchase
With the completion of the high school addition/renovation project and the availability of contingency allowances, the Leadership Team recommended purchasing new classroom equipment for Zionsville Community High School. This will update furniture purchased prior to 1997 in older parts of the building.
Easement Option Agreement
The Board reviewed an easement option agreement with the Town of Zionsville. This matter was tabled for further legal review.
The next regular board meeting is August 12 at 6 p.m. in the Zionsville Community Schools Educational Services Center at 900 Mulberry Street, Zionsville.
