Matt Doublestein, Director of Operations, led the second hearing which was a repeat of information shared with the public in August.

MONTHLY BOARD MEETING

A successful start to the school year

Dr. Rebecca Coffman, Superintendent of Zionsville Community Schools, shared highlights from the start of the school year, marking the 19th day at the time of the board meeting. Key activities have included strong teacher-student connections, club fairs, curriculum nights, and meet-the-teacher events. Students and staff have participated in dress-up days and various school events. The district celebrated the first day of school with photos, and Dr. Coffman expressed gratitude for ongoing community partnerships, including safety initiatives and volunteer support. The 40th annual Eagle Fest was also a tremendous success.

Vaccinations

Dr. Rebecca Coffman reported that Zionsville Community Schools reached the 19th day of the school year, emphasizing the importance of the 20th day as the deadline for students to have up-to-date vaccination records, in compliance with Indiana Code IC 20-34-4-5. School health care professionals and principals have been actively communicating with families to ensure all required documentation is submitted.

Financial Stewardship and Credit Rating

The school corporation’s strong financial stewardship has again positioned ZCS among the top-rated school corporations in Indiana, affirming one of the highest credit ratings in the state from Standard & Poor's.
