ZCHS is proud to announce that eight students advanced to finalist standing in the National Merit Scholarship (NMS) competition. Winners will be announced in April.

ZCHS Show Choir competition season underway

The Zionsville Community High School Show Choirs are commanding the stage this season. Performers recently competed at Homestead High School and Lafayette Jefferson High School. This week, they performed at the ZCHS winter concert, and Saturday, March 18, they will compete at the Heart of America National Competition in Orlando, Florida.

ZCHS student Laila Hull named Gatorade Player of the Year for Indiana

Congratulations to Zionsville Community High School student Laila Hull for being selected as the Gatorade Player of the Year for Girls Basketball in the state of Indiana.

Hull is an outstanding student and has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of North Carolina this fall.

She has volunteered locally on behalf of fundraising campaigns to benefit breast cancer research, and has also donated her time with the ZCHS Black Student Union. She also serves as a youth basketball coach.

Zionsville West Middle School presents the Little Mermaid

Performances of Little Mermaid JR at Zionsville West Middle School (ZWMS) are scheduled for tonight, March 10th at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 11th at 2p.m. and 7p.m. Tickets are general admission, sold at the door one hour before show time.

Parent volunteers designed costumes, built set pieces and together with the students and staff created a magical show. Consider joining them “under the sea” this weekend!

Hats on for inclusion

Students across the district showed their school spirit and support for unified athletes and partners by donating a dollar and wearing a hat to school today. All proceeds benefit the ZCS Special Olympics Unified Sports Program.

Students participate in service activities for their community

Students, staff and families have been engaged throughout the community completing a variety of service projects. From packing meals, to cleaning up parks and school grounds, to corres[senior citizens, and everything in between, students are embracing the spirit of giving.

We are collecting photos of the many service projects completed this week and will share a full story next week.
