Eagle Elementary School surprise visitors

Thank you to Peanut and Banana, Morning Dove's Sidekicks, for visiting students at Eagle Elementary School. Both are full grown horses (17 & 20 years old.)  While visiting, they wore shoes to protect their hooves and the school building floors. Fun fact:  the shoes are actually purchased at the "Build a Bear" stores.

About Morning Dove's Sidekicks

The Sidekicks program enables Morning Dove to provide equine-assisted services to individuals who might not be able to come to the therapeutic riding center. The miniature horses are less intimidating for people as well.

The Sidekicks offer the same benefits as a full-size horse; in that, horses mirror human interaction and personalities.

School leaders from around the state tour newly designed spaces and ongoing construction at Zionsville Community High School

More than 40 superintendents from around the state of Indiana visited Zionsville Community Schools (ZCS) just before fall break. As part of that visit, attendees were given a tour of the ongoing renovations at Zionsville Community High School (ZCHS). Visiting school leaders saw renovation work that is being done to transform ZCHS into an updated and modern state-of-the-art high school with learning spaces that are able to accommodate the rapid student enrollment growth we are experiencing in our community. The district is growing approximately 200 students per year and will continue this trend for the foreseeable future. This building transformation for our students is critical and only possible because of the community's support of the 2019 referenda. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen for our school community.
