THE FRIDAY FIVE
2024-2025

1.
Season
of Giving

The recent Stonegate Elementary School annual PTO food drive was a success, collecting more than 3,342 items for our local food pantry. Special thanks to the ZCHS Varsity Football team for helping deliver donations and visiting Mrs. Delp’s second grade class, who led the way with 462 items. This is just one of many food drives across ZCS this school year.

2.
Helping
others

Each year, the ZCHS Rho Kappa Social Studies Honors Society collects food for those in need. Group members work to stock two food pantries in Boone County, where approximately 13 percent of all children are food insecure. This year, beneficiaries were The Giving Tree Food Pantry in Jamestown along with the ZCHS Backpack Program. This year, the group collected approximately 800 cans and more than $2,200.
