Celebrating
Principals

Thank you to building leaders who inspire every learner, every staff member, every day.

October is National Principals Month, a time to recognize the dedicated leaders who guide our schools with vision, care, and an unwavering focus on students. ZCS principals lead by example, creating environments where staff feel supported, families feel connected, and students are known and valued.

Thank you to our principals for the countless ways you lead, listen, and inspire learning across our district.

From CLP
to Geology

ZCHS graduate returns to inspire students’ exploration of careers

Noah Valentine, a 2023 ZCHS graduate, visited the Customized Learning Program (CLP) to share his college and career journey. Now a senior at Grand Valley University studying geology, Noah spoke about his field of study, future plans, and how an exploratory class can change a career path.

Students were interested in how researching rocks has taken him across the country and in his reflections on the importance of strong mentorship.

Noah connected the CLP visits to Marian University’s Ecolab to his current work as a geologist studying climate change and the impact of human consumption on natural resources.

College and Career Awareness Week
Inspires Future Dreams

Stonegate students explore pathways to success

Stonegate Elementary School students and staff celebrated College and Career Awareness with an exciting Spirit Week. Each day featured a special theme to help students dream big about their futures. They started by Following Their Dreams in cozy pajamas, showed that their Future Starts Here by wearing ZCS gear, and Dressed for Success by coming to school as what they want to be when they grow up. Students also had fun Learning by Day and Dreaming by Night by wearing bright colors or all black, and wrapped up the week by sporting their favorite college attire.

Throughout the month, students will continue exploring a world of possibilities, learning about different careers, key employability skills, post-secondary education options, and ways they can start preparing for their future success today.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 8th at 6 p.m. at the Golf Club of Indiana for ZEF Bash 2025.

Don’t miss out on all of the luau-inspired fun. Tickets are on sale now. Be sure to purchase your tickets by 11/3/25.
